I lost my beloved dog

Post by Dazzler on Fri Jul 16, 2010 9:31 pm

I am a dog person and I love my dog so much. But I lost her a week ago and I am still hurting. She was never treated as a pet but a member of the family. She got sick so fast and then just lost energy to fight. When I saw her already gone, it was so painful and I still feel very sad about her death. I cannot believe she's gone when she is just 3 years old and still very young Sad. I know that she is in a better place now and resting in peace and not suffering but the thought of accepting her death is still not there. There are days when I wish I will see her when I get up or hear her bark when I come home. Losing her feels like losing another member of the family and I think it will take awhile before the hurt goes away

You'll be alright bro, you just need to get your mind off it. Go out to eat, go to a concert, whatever you can do to get your mind off it.

At first, all lost is very painful. Perhaps you should think again how much have you done for her, and not what you could of done?

Thanks for the sympathy everyone. I really appreciate it. I actually am now thinking of the good memories I had with her. For now I pretend that my aunt borrowed her for a long time so I don't feel too hurt of not seeing her anymore. It made me feel a lot better actually. I am not great with goodbyes because I tend to hold on too much to my emotions, but I am slowly learning to let go of things that I have no control of.

Thanks, I appreciate it a lot. It's still sad though but I cannot do anything about it anymore

i have lost many animals, not just dogs, but other ones as well. i know what you're going through right now. pets do really feel like family, and i for one would give anything to have my dog back.

if you need to talk you know where i am, okay?
